AI Working Group
A curated library of AI prompts for ATC Williams staff — engineering and corporate. Use the framework below to structure your own prompts, or browse, search and copy ready-made prompts for everyday tasks.
AI is an assistant, not a substitute for engineering judgement. Always review and verify AI-generated outputs against project requirements, applicable standards, site conditions and your own technical knowledge before issuing them in any deliverable. AI may produce confident-sounding but incorrect content — fabricated references, outdated standards, or invalid assumptions.
Accountability for the work stays with the engineer.
Every good prompt has four parts. Walk through these in order before you press send — it cuts back-and-forth and lifts the quality of the very first response you get back.
One verb-led sentence stating what you want done.
The role you want AI to take and the background it needs — project type, audience, sensitivities, what to avoid.
The material to work from — attached document, pasted data, your previous response, or none.
Format, length, tone, what to flag, what NOT to do.
